Thank you to all whom participated in the voting for positive changes to our community. I want to make sure everyone understands that we all have an equal interest in the success of our water system and that KPUD was not and is not requiring that we consolidate with their water system. KPUD no longer offers water management services. That is why we were offered the consolidation choice as KPUD knows that we need some major upgrades soon and don't have the capital to make that happen on our own at this time. So as a result of this we have chosen to work with Northwest Water Systems to manage our water system and to give us a updated plan for moving forward with our system.
The dision to work with Northwest Water Systems is a positive move in a new direction for us. This company has many benefits to them with their own engineers and work crews that could really help us streamline work and minimize costs to the community.
We have chosen to raise the HOA/Water bill to $600 per year affective May 17th 2026. This will help to add an additional $6,000 per year to the HOA/Water account to be used to operate our system, pay for water management services, testing, repairs,upgrades and maintenance to our green belt.
Abandoned house on Orwieler. As a community we have voted to move forward with the lien process for non payment.

President:
We will need to elect a new President at the next meeting July 12th 2026 as the current president is in the process of moving.
Secretary:
We will need to elect a new Secretary at the next meeting July 12th 2026. The current secretary is overwhelmed with personal and professional obligations and needs to relinquish her position.
Treasurer:
We will need to elect a new Treasurer at the next meeting July 12th 2026. The current treasures job is taking her out of town and is unable to be available as much as she has been needed.

Navy off base water testing is back!!
HOA & WATER MEETING MINUETS
Country Meadows HOA & WATER works with KPUD 1 and Kitsap Health Department to test and maintain the quality of our water.
In 2023 the US NAVEL BASE BANGOR had our water tested for P-FAB's. The test results should have come in the mail with one of your water bills.
HOA Water Reports will only be released to HOA Homeowners.

Just like many of you Country Meadows HOA & Water has gotten the notice for Off Base water testing. WE have our community well tested at this time. Read this flyer closely as the Navy will only be testing wells that were not included in the last round of tests. We will be reaching out to see if we can have our well tested again at this time.

It's time to look at the proposals form Kitsap PUD and Northwest Water Systems.
AS many of you know Kitsap PUD no longer wants to manage water systems and has asked us to ither consolidate or change System Management providers as our contract is up.
KPUD and Northwest Water Systems proposals have been posted on the documents page so you can take a look at them before you make a decision that best fits your family.
Please remember that this is decision we all must make together ballots were provided with the packet each homeowner was given at the HOA meeting last night. All documents are on the documents page. Our next Meeting will be May 17th so we can go over the votes as well as what comes next.
Ballots are due 5/1/26 so the Board will have time to go through them and have more information to share about the next step.

What is happening on Closser Dr
What happened to our Community Water on 4/29/25
KPUD and Northwest Water System's proposal's
Country Meadows HOA Owens this green space along Closser drive as well as 15 feet from ither side of the roadway and around the neighborhood. When the property along Closser Dr was sold the new owners started to move in not know what they did and didn't own. They began to fill in a wetland and dig up the semi seasonal stream as well as around the culvert on Closser Dr. They have no permits to change the semi seasonal stream or to fill in the wetland we believe is on Country Meadows property. A complaint was mad to Kitsap County Code Enforcement and at this time they have not been able to access the property and have not made contact with them. There are no permits for any kind of work on this property.

Due to a lack of maintenance, we had a Float switch failure resulting in the well not refilling our water reservoir.
How was this fixed?
PUD 1 was notified and they came out to assess the situation. They found a switch failure that we believe happened a few days earlier. PUD 1 replaced the faulty switch and brought our system back online. It took several hours to fill the water storage tank so we could all have water again.

**KPUD 1 is a public service office, and it is illegal to threaten or harass a public servant. They can and will call police if residents can't be respectful.

Thursday 5/8/25 @ 10am - 5pm KPUD 1 will shut off the water for repairs to the broken water main. Country Meadows HOA & Water has hired a sub-contractor to do the repairs please do not call KPUD1.
AS a result of our water system failure last week we have found a water leak. KPUD has been notified. They were on site Friday to assess the situation. It is their opinion that we could wait until Monday to have this addressed however they will not be the ones to do the repair. KPUD 1 will help us to find a company that can fix the leak.

That is a good question. KPUD helps us monitor and maintain the quality of our water. KPUD tests the water for any bacteria and contaminants.

Country Meadows HOA & Water has put together 2 Community Info Boards and placed them in 2 places in our community. 1st on Orweiler LN NW and the 2nd on Closser Dr. NW. theses info boards are there as another tool to help keep you informed of meetings and upcoming changes.
